Comparing Image Files
Open a file comparison window, then load the image files of interest using any of the familiar methods:
- dropping them onto the editors
- typing/pasting their paths into the Path Selectors
- selecting them via the Select File dialog
DeltaWalker will display the images inside its image comparison window and will offer you a range of functions to facilitate the examination of those images: zooming in and out, panning, computing changed pixels using a threshold, and finally, showing all, changed, and similar pixels.
The following image formats are currently supported:
- Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG) (opens in a new tab) (.jpeg, .jpg)
- Joint Photographic Experts Group 2000 (JPEG 2000) (opens in a new tab) (.jp2, .j2k)
- Portable Network Graphics (PNG) (opens in a new tab) (.png)
- Graphics Interchange (GIF) (opens in a new tab) (.gif)
- Adobe Photoshop (PSD) (opens in a new tab) (.psd)
- Tagged Image File (TIFF) (opens in a new tab) (.tiff, .tif)
- Bitmap (BMP) (opens in a new tab) (.bmp)
- Apple QuickDraw metaformat (PICT) (opens in a new tab) (.pct, .pict, .pic)
- Bitmap (BMP) (opens in a new tab) (.bmp)
- Windows icon (ICO) (opens in a new tab) (.ico)
- Netpbm (PNM) (opens in a new tab) (.ppm, .pgm, .pbm, .pnm)
Image files are opened in a read-only mode, meaning they cannot be modified from inside DeltaWalker.
