Printing a Comparison

You can preview and print the contents of a text or folder comparison window with File > Print Preview and File > Print… (Cmd+P).

The print preview shows a close approximation of the way the comparison will look when printed.

The printed copy may differ slightly in color and overall quality from the print preview on your screen. This can be due to a number of factors:

  • Differences in the color calibration of your printer and your monitor. Many monitors and printers come with calibration software you can use to bridge that gap.
  • Poor conversion of the delta colors DeltaWalker Classic uses to the gray levels of a black-and-white printer. If that is the case, try updating your printer driver. If that doesn’t help, choose colors in DeltaWalker Classic that print better on your setup.

Use the options of the Page Setup dialog (File > Page Setup…), such as margins, headers, and footers, to personalize the printed output. Used together, the Print Preview and Page Setup windows let you see the effect of your print settings right away and choose the ones that work best for you.
