Comparing Image Files
Open a file comparison window, then load the image files you want to compare using any of the familiar methods:
- drop them onto the editors
- type or paste their paths into the path entry fields
- select them in the Select File dialog
DeltaWalker Classic displays the images in its image comparison window. The toolbar above the images offers the functions you need to examine them:
- Show: All pixels, only the Changed pixels, or only the pixels that are the Same. In three-way comparison, Conflicting pixels as well.
- Side-by-side or Overlay: show the images next to each other, or on top of each other. Click Overlay again to choose how the images are overlaid: Blend, Swipe, or Blink. In Overlay, Heatmap shows where the images differ.
- Threshold: available when only changed pixels are shown. A pair of pixels counts as changed only when they differ by more than the threshold, a value from 0 to 255.
- Zoom: zoom in and out with the slider, or type or choose a zoom level. The buttons next to it fit the images inside the viewing area, display them at actual size, and show or hide the panner, which you use to pan around large images.
The Metadata section shows information about each image.
